Prep work prior to class:
If cutting your own Jelly roll:
a. Press fabric using sizing spray
b. Cut 44 strips 2 1/2″ wide
c. Join strips together “end-to-end”; remove dog ears

Supplies:
* Sewing machine, foot control, power cord, and sewing accessories (pins, scissors, etc.)
* Size 12-16 Jeans, Microtex, or Topstitch Sewing Machine Needles
* 1 large spool of Thread; approximately 1200 yards to blend or contrast with fabric; Aurifil #50 weight variegated maybe a good choice
* One 2 1/2″ Jelly Roll (44 pieces) or make a Jelly Roll from 3 yards of fabric
* One roll of Bosal Batting at 2 1/4″ x 50 yards/roll (included in class fee)
* One RD202cx Fabric/Batting folding tool (optional but recommended)
* Mary Ellen’s Best Press
* Gloves (optional)

A collection bag for the sewn rope will be provided for each student.
